Salesforce IDs are getting inserted into Record Name fields when trying to insert a record via Salesforce Standard API.

Figured it out. Name is a required field and when you supply null value via JSON, the newly created record's id is used for the record Name field as well. So make sure Name is not null and some value is passed in the JSON body when inserting via API.
